Transport for London is bankrupt. Mismanagement and inefficiencies of TfL have gone on for too long and a complete restructuring and professionalisation of TfL is needed.
A holistic approach, in collaboration with central Government, to plan and provide the transport infrastructure fit for a future London is required, now.
A Fair Deal for London's Cabbies
The ongoing and continuing grievances with London's taxi drivers remain unresolved. Provision of safe taxi services to Londoners requires a licensing system which is fair to all.
Once elected, I will fight to ensure that these injustices are remedied and a level playing field is provided to London's cabbies.
Ending the Madness of Cycle Lanes
The Government obsession with cycle lanes has caused congestion, frustration, damage to the natural environment, and increased toxic pollution - blighting the lives of working Londoners. The cycle lane program continues to disrupt and degrade the road system for the majority of London's road users.
With Direct Democracy and the people in the driving seat, this will stop. Many cycle lanes will be removed to re-establish free flowing traffic, and future road design modifications to our highways will give weight to all road users, not just those with two wheels.
